In this period of health crisis, it is essential to make prevention available to all. To help the most vulnerable families, the insurers and their association Assurance Prévention have joined forces with Samusocial de Paris and are offering 75,000 Covid prevention kits.

These kits, which each include two adult surgical masks, two children’s surgical masks and a bottle of hydroalcoholic gel, will be distributed by the teams of Samusocial de Paris and its partner organisations as part of a pedagogical approach:

  • 60,000 kits will be given to the 47,000 families accommodated in social hotels in the departments of Paris, Essonne (91), Hauts-de-Seine (92) and Seine-Saint-Denis (93).
  • 15,000 kits will be distributed to the homeless during the rounds in Paris (75).

For Alain Christnacht, President of Samusocial de Paris, “We know that, for various reasons, COVID-19 particularly affects people living in poverty. Facilitating compliance with prevention steps for homeless people is thus essential. The partnership with Assurance Prévention will enable us to distribute Prevention kits to most of the people we care for.

For Florence Lustman, President of the French Insurance Federation (FFA), “It is the responsibility of insurers to protect. And there is nothing more useful today than a mask to protect oneself and others. To ensure that prevention is within everyone’s reach, the insurers and their association Assurance Prévention are supporting the Samusocial de Paris, which helps the most disadvantaged people on the ground on a daily basis in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This intervention serves as a reminder that the Samusocial de Paris is always in need of new volunteers in its fight against extreme exclusion
